Happy Bday Brodster! (May)

May 17th was Brody's first Birthday! We had a small family party for him and then his big huge bday bash the following week. Kid got so many presents it was crazy! There were a ton of people there but it was his first bday so it was special. Laura and Joe said no more parties like that until he's like 5 years old! Still can't believe my little moose is getting so big! I found a rocking moose for him at Ikea! Only in canada would you find a rocking moose instead of a rocking horse! This month at work I was trained in treasury which means I'm in the office more, it will also look great on my resume and I got a .50 cent raise so that was nice.

Back to Work!

I went back to work at the end of April, time to make some moneys and catch up on all these bills! I went back to Colossus Langley, they were glad to have me back and I was glad to be back there. Laura also went back to work the second week in May, I started watching Brody during the day and working nights at the movie theatre. So far I've loved it. I'm tired a lot and it's hard work but I love being able to spend so much time with Brody. I have Brody from about 6am until about 5pm Monday-Friday and then I also work 40 hours a week at the theatre. Gotta do what you gotta do! Sometimes I don't know how I function but I'm doing okay for now! Anyone who complains about being a stay at home Mom, you should not complain!!! I may not be a mother yet but I have Brody a lot! and I work 40 hours a week on top of that! Just enjoy being at home with your sweet children!

Home in April!

So it's been a while! I don't know how I got so behind but I'm gonna attempt to catch up once again! School finished in April and that's when I got home. I made it home just in time for Easter dinner! And of course I couldn't just make it home and that be that, there had to be something going on. Basically, I almost didn't even make it to the border but somehow I did and the moment I crossed the border, my car gave up and died! Had to write it off, that was no fun! I was so happy to see my little moose! It took him a bit to warm up to me but by the end of the night, all was well with the world again! I spent a few weeks just chillin' at home. My parents moved into a new place so I did some painting and enjoyed my time before I had to start work again.

3 years!

So, 3 years ago today I finished my mission! I still can't believe I've been done now for 3 years. The time has passed so quickly since I've been home. There are days where it doesn't even feel like I even went on a mission. To celebrate the fact that I've been home now for 3 years, I came down to Utah this weekend and I'm staying with my friends Natalie and Steve and their little girl in Taylorsville. We went to church this morning and now we're home for lunch and later this afternoon we will be going to Temple Square. I'm really excited! Especially to be spending time with them this weekend. Natalie was my roommate for a semester way back in 2004 and she married Steve while I was on my mission but they came to Temple Square a few months later to see me and I was able to meet Steve for the first time after hearing so much about him. It sucks that I have to go back to Rexburg tonight but I love spending time with my wonderful friends. I loved my mission so much and I am grateful for the opportunity that I had to serve in such a wonderful place. I met so many wonderful people and I served with so many wonderful sisters and senior couples. I wish I could visit with all the people I served with often but we're all in different countries. I loved my mission! And I'm really excited that it was in a place so special but also that it was in a place that I can go back to.

New Hair Again!

So, I cut my hair again! It just wasn't quite what I wanted when I had it cut right before Christmas but now I love it! I also had it highlighted again. I went to the Paul Mitchell school here in Rexburg and they always do such a great job. I don't think that I'll go much shorter but we'll see. I always thought that I never suited short hair but I like it so far. Sometimes I do miss having my long hair but it will grow back and right now it's nice cause my hair looks like it actually has body and it's pretty easy to manage.

Another Great Day at BYU-Idaho!!!

So, I'm back in Rexburg!! Got here on January 2nd! It was a long car ride! Usually takes 14 hours in good road conditions but seeing as how it's Winter time and not so good road conditions, it took about 20 hours. Joe and my Dad drove me back this time (a friend came with us too) we towed my car (it wouldnt' have made it through some of the passes). I'm trying to be more involved this semester so I'm attending all the Devotionals (on Tuesdays) and I'm going to attend plays, and concerts, and dance recitals, and try to do as much as I can! My roommates this semester are awesome! I usually have great roommates, I'm usually pretty lucky when it comes to roommates but there's always some type of problems that arise and you can usually tell within the first few days what it will be like. Nothing bad yet! It's been fun. We all get along really well and we all clean and share things! It's fun! We have girls night once a week and talk and just do fun crazy things! So far the weather has been not too bad either! It's snowed like 2 times but other than that it's been pretty mild. It's still cold but I've been here when it's been a lot worse so if it stays like this, I'll be happy!! Classes are going good. I'm not having any problems finding things to do. I constantly have homework and it takes a lot of work to just keep afloat. Hasn't been too unbearable yet! Ask me again in a few weeks when it's time for mid-terms. I just hope I can get through this semester so I can go home and see my little Brodster! I miss him so much! I usually don't miss home that much but I'm so ready to go home! I wish I could go home once a month but that would cost way too much money! It will go by fast though!
